Automation to add comment in JIRA when Sharepoint List is updated

Jayme Burkhalter

Hello!

I am wondering if there is a way to build an automation that will add a comment on a specific JIRA Epic when an update is made on a Sharepoint List?

We are wanting to track decisions in a decision log in Sharepoint, but would like to avoid duplicating efforts by automating if possible.  Does anyone know if we can build an automation that would take what was added to the Sharepoint List and add that as a comment on a specified Epic?

Ideas appreciated :)  thanks!

Hello @Jayme Burkhalter

When you say "Sharepoint List"

Is the list  in share point and you want to track the change from there?

Then the Sharepoint community is the best place to pose this question.

If the list is a check list of sorts in a Jira issue then it may be possible. More information would be required.

The trigger would be the Field value changed.

The condition, if the  value is not on the parent Epic

Action, update the parent epic
