I am trying to create an automation that clones an epic and all the stories under the epic, AND all the sub-tasks underneath the stories... is that possible to have all in one automation?
This is the automation so far. Cloning the epic and stories works, it's the sub-tasks part I need help with.
Hello @Michelle Rose
There are several posts on that topic in the communities. Have you searched for and reviewed those?
Here is one such that has an accepted Answer:

HI,
This is Majid @ Exalate.
There are two high level approaches to solving this problem i.e. automation rules or an integration app such as Exalate. Both approaches have their pros and cons, but with an integration app you can do much much more than just copy these Epics over. All depends on what you need.
Hope it helps.
Thanks
Majid

If you are willing to use a third-party app, our Deep Clone for Jira is able to clone whole hierarchies including Initiatives, Epics, Task, and Subtasks.
The app is highly configurable, and you can even set your field values dynamically while cloning with Clone and Edit.

If you're not against using a third-party, you can do that with our Copy & Sync application with the option "Copy Full Epic Tree". It will clone (and synchronize if you choose to) the Epic, its children and all their subtasks with everything you need it.
And you can do that in just one rule as you just have to set your Automation with the required conditions, then use a Copy & Sync recipe to do the work.
Let me know if you need help with that!

Sorry, my previous answer was not correct. Without additional JQL functions it's not working.
@Trudy Claspill +1 to her answer, it will work :)
