Automation not finding the email address for the Assignee

Automation to  email the asignnee if issue more than 2 days over - finds issues ok but then wont send as per below?

Selected assignee from drop down in To box

Send email

There is no value set for the field:

assignee

Successfully sent email for issues (with message ids):

Could not send email, the 'To' address field is empty. If you have referenced a field it may be empty.

This might seem obvious but have you checked that the assignee field isn't empty on the issues you are targetting ?

Yes there was one so I excluded that empty one on the filter and all ok.  I didn't expect the single empty one to block the whole mail send - there were about 20 assignees in total.  I would have thought it would just drop the one it couldn't send rather than kill the whole bunch.
