Automation (newbie, please help) JSD & JS

Craig Barrett

I would like to create an automation rule that when a Service Desk ticket is raised (Bug Issue Type created), an Issue will be created in a corresponding Jira Software Project. I am able to do this for one Project but I want to do it for multiple (about 12).

I don't want to create an automation rule per project (12 rules). I want to create 1 rule that encompasses all Products/Projects. "I Rule to Rule them all", lol.

But I am confused as to how to assign an OR. For example:

  • if a JSD Bug ticket is raised for Product A then raise an Issue in Project A
  • if a JSD Bug ticket is raised for Product B then raise an Issue in Project B

...and so on.

Please help me with my embarrassingly basic request.

Hi Craig,

You should be able to make it a multi-project rule and list all of the projects it should run against.

1. Go to Rule details

2. Change the Scope to Multiple projects

3. Add the projects
