Hi All - I have an automation that does the below:
The rule actor is "Automation for Jira"
This was working fine up until recently. Now when I manually trigger the automation, no working ticket gets created. Here is what happens:
2. When I click the link, I see this page:
I have confirmed that both atlassian-addons-project-access and I have the Browse Projects & Create Issues permissions. I have no trouble accessing other tickets in this project.
Any ideas?
Huh - seems like everything looks good now. It just took some time to actually load and take effect (about 2 hours)
Without changing anything, the links in the automation audit log work fine for me now, and the ticket is accessible
Thanks for your help @Dave Liao & @Trudy Claspill
Hello @Christy Kennedy
With the help of a Jira Administrator you should investigate if there is another Automation Rule that is causing some change to happen on the new issues you are creating through your automation. There could be another automation rule that is being triggered by the issue creation that is setting the Security Level of the issue you created, or deleting the issue, or even moving it to another project to which you don't have access.

Hi @Trudy Claspill - I just checked (i am a site admin) and I dont see any automations that would apply something like this in DCO (I check single, multi, and global project scopes)
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
You can check if the issues have actually been deleted by going to Settings (gear icon near avatar) > System > Audit Log
Deletion of a work item now causes a log entry there.
You might also check if they have been Archived.
What type of Space (project) is are the items being created in?

Do you have any third party apps that can interact with issues outside of the workflows and automations? For instance - JMWE has Event Based Actions and Scriptrunner has Listeners. Both can be triggered by the Issue Created event and take actions on the issues.

To double check on whether an Automation rule could be affecting the issues I would look at the Global Automation Audit Log tab and check for Automations that were triggered after the issues were created.
Even if they don't have the destination project called out in their project scope, they could interact with the project through the Send Web Request action.

@Christy Kennedy - what a mystery!
Is there an issue security scheme configured for DCO that Jira Automation has access to, but you don't, for some reason?

Hi @Dave Liao - no security scheme is applied to this project
