Hi,
i have a new custom field in Jira, called "Approver".
Now i would like to use a smart value in Jira to send this Approver an email once a certain status is reached.
Is it thus possible to create smart values based on custom fields?
Any help is very much appreciated!
BR,
Daniel
ok figured it out it simply works by typing "{{approver}}" into the recipients field - in case anybody else has the same issue
also works by using the custom field id
Hi Daniel,
I believe it is not neccessary to use smart values. If you add new action to your automation rule, which is called Send email, you should be able to find your custom field Approver in the provided options in the field To - it is possible to fill in some email address, but also select some user/group custom field as a source of the recipients.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
I was able to enter "Approver" into the email recipients field, however the rule keeps failing and the audit log claims that the field is empty - Thus this doesn't seem to work.
