Good morning all!
I have the following issue I know the cause but don't know how to fix it.
I have two projects (for testing porposed only): one is a jira software project and the other is a service desk project.
In Jira software, I was asked to restrict transitions to specified group of users
In Jira service desk, there is an automation to linked issues, so when a software issue linked to the JSD issue is transitioned to In Progress, the JSD issue is transitioned to in progress to.
Here is the thing.. the automation seems to be performed by admin (me) I am not into those groups that are allowed to transition in Jira software workflow.
Can you please suggest me a solution? should I add the admin user to the group? or what should be the best solution.
Tahnks in advance

Which form of automation is involved here? In JSD there are two: Automation (at the top) and Project Automation (at the bottom). in JSW there is just the one Automation (which equates to (Project Automation in JSD...yes confusing). Can you chose the rule to run as the one that triggers the event?
Hi Jack!! Automation at top.
I have selected the trigger "update when the linked issue changes"

ok so with the original JSD Automation you can change the run rule as the rule level by clicking on the cog.
Note: the user that is set to run the rule MUST have permissions in the project where the action is being performed.

Thank you Jack!!! I didn't see that icon!!
So in this case the user should be part of the groups that restrict the transitions right?
