Automation - create multiple Sub-tasks

Daniel Martins
September 3, 2020

Hi,

I am struggling with an automation and hope that someone can help me.

FIELD A: a field where a certain number vom 1 - 100 can be displayed.

FIELD B: i count the number of issues in this Epic and display the value as a numeric value.

Now i would like to create an automation that Counts the difference from field A and Field B and if the Value is Positive creates the number of Sub-tasks.

Example: Field A = 10, Field B = 3 Then create 7 new Subtasks under the Ticket.

Does anybody know how to do that?

Hi @Daniel Martins

Sorry, but I do not think this isn't currently possible using Automation for Jira. Whilst calculating the difference between two fields is possible, performing an action, such as creating a new subtask, a number of times based on that result is not.
