Automation - Notify/Include all users in custom multi user select field

Aditya Rajaraman March 8, 2024

Set up

  1. I have a field in my Jira Project that define who the primary stakeholders are who are responsible to review the ticket at various stages of requirements gathering
  2. These stakeholders can be multiple users, hence the custom field is set up as multi-user select
  3. The automation attempts to, based on the change of the status of the ticket, add a comment notifying mentioning the users in the custom field that the ticket is ready for review.

The second option works when there is only one value selected in the custom field.

Hi @Aditya Rajaraman

You can try use this (https://support.atlassian.com/cloud-automation/docs/examples-of-using-smart-values-with-lists/) and be able to mention all users.

Seba

Thanks @Sebastian Krzewiński
However, I am using the attribute, account ID. What I am unable to do is to make it a mention of the user for that account ID

I have updated the question to reflect that.

Yes you can make mentions and combine it with smart values for lists. Example:

{{#issue.customfield_10003}}[~accountid:{{accountId}}]{{/}}
