Automatically populate the Labels field

We would like to have the "Labels" field automatically populated with the value "In-Progress", when a story is moved into the Analysis column.  The label should be added to any other values which are previously there.

You can do this a few way - using a post function on the workflow or using an add-on like Automation for Jira or ScriptRunner.

Yes, and...to what John suggests:

What problem are you trying to solve by doing this?  It would seem that either the issue's Status or Status Category already have this information.

And, what do you want to happen when an issue leaves "Analysis"?  For example, does it continue with that label value?

@John Funk : we are not using those Add-on which you have mentioned we hold powerscripts for Jira.

@Bill Sheboy : when issue moves from ToDo to Analysis column the Inprogress label should create automatically to the issue.
