Automatically Hide "Done" Issues in Timeline View Only

Hello Everyone,

I'm looking for a way to automatically hide "Done" issues specifically in the Timeline view of Jira. I've tried using the following filter:

project = "AIO" AND status != "Done" ORDER BY cf[10009] ASC

However, this also hides the "Done" issues in the Kanban view, which is not what I want. The quick filters work, but I have to click them every time I view the timeline, which is neither efficient nor ideal.

I also explored other solutions, such as using a redirector extension on my browser everytime I open the timeline page, but that approach still does not work.

If anyone has a workaround or a better solution to achieve this, it would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,
Yifan

Hi @Yifan ,

Sadly, I don't have any workaround I could share but I just wanted to link a feature suggestion related to this requirement: JRACLOUD-91433: Timeline view - Improve the filtering options for the timeline view on Jira Software boards.

I trust this could be a pain point for some users (there are some tricks you need to do even if you're using Plans) so I hope additional filtering options will be added soon.

Cheers,
Tobi
