I have created a test case and added it to a test cycle. After executing the test cycle, suppose there is a maintenance change where I modify existing steps or add new steps to the same test case.
In the Test Cycle → Test Execution section, I can see an “Update Test Script” option for that test case, which updates the execution steps manually.
I want to know if there is a way to configure this behavior to happen automatically whenever test case steps are modified.
Ideally:
The update of test execution steps should happen automatically when the test case is updated.
This behavior should be configurable, so that if needed, I can still choose to update the test script manually using the existing option.
Is there any configuration, setting, or best practice available to achieve this?
Hi @SaiGanesh
As Jira has no test management ootb, you are using a 3rd party integration.
What app are you using.
Also you could open a request at the vendor/developer of the app if this is an option in their app.
As this is a public community and not official Atlassian or App vendor support, we can't access your instance and are user just like you trying to help out.
Hi @SaiGanesh
Welcome to the community..Since you are mentioning about Testcases ..is there any specific App which you are using along with Jira? If so it would make more sense to contact the App support desk as Jira doesnt have any native Test management feature
