Attachments default to Thumbnails!!! Ridiculous consumption of screen real estate is there a Fix??

How can I set across the board a personal preference, or i can ask for system change, so that attachments are not showing as thumbnails. On a laptop it consumes all the screen if there are several attachments. Absolutely astounding idiocy if there is no setting to revert across the board!!

Could you share a screenshot of what it is you are seeing?  Boards in both cloud and data center do not have the option to display images on a card.  If you are on the actual Jira work item and it has a lot of attachments, you can minimize that attachment area and it will remember that in your browser as the default setting until you clear your cache.
