Attachment size limits

I have a JIRA v4.3 instance. The attachment size limit to 10 MB, in the attachment settings configuration.

Anytime I submit an attachment larger than 1 MB however I get an error, "Unknown error occurred uploading file."

Any thoughts as to why this might be occurring?

JIRA does have write access - and is in fact able to handle any attachment less then 1 MB. Which log specifically should I be logging in to see a more informative error message?

Do you have enough space and write access on the attachments folder? What is the error you are seeing in the logs (stacktrace)?
