I was trying to explore on Atlassian portal about their guidelines/recommendations for protection against ransomware. If anybody can suggest, that would be very helpful.

I'm not sure that's something Atlassian would talk about a lot - they write software to run as a service, malware protection is not their field.

I suspect the longest essay you would get about it is a dissection of what they've done when their products are directly affected, but the short version of their blogging on it would be "don't install ransomware, here's a good site that specialises in talking about malware".
