Atlassian Guard and Microsoft 365 Tenant Migration

Hey everyone,

I’ve been tasked with assessing how Atlassian Guard will interact during a Microsoft 365 tenant migration. We’ll be keeping the same domain name, but I’m unsure how the identity provider in Guard will respond to this change and what needs to be prepared to ensure minimal disruption for users.

Currently, SSO is enforced for all users. My main question is: should I revert users to the default policy before the migration, then remove the existing TXT records and reconfigure the identity provider after the migration?

Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi @Aaron Micallef

There doesn't seem to be documentation on this and I have not have to deal with this.

Reaching out to Atlassian Support would probably the best solution.

It might be that all users wil need to have the existing SCIM connection removed, so reverting to the default policy could work.

But as I where you double check with Atlassian Support.

Hi @Marc - Devoteam

Many thanks for your message!

Yes, infact I already opened a support ticket and I asked here in the communty to check if someone had to deal with this in the past.

Cheers Aaron
