What are the differences between both with regard to giving access to guests?

Unlike Atlassian Cloud (which supports free external guests with specific space limitations), Confluence and Jira Data Center treat anyone with global application access as a fully licensed user.

Correct: Yes, guest users have heavily restricted access to user lists and profiles in Cloud products like Confluence and Jira.

es, that’s correct. In Atlassian Cloud, guests have limited access, so they generally can’t view other users’ profiles outside the areas they’ve been given access to.

Great, many thanks to all! I believe guest users cannot @mention someone either? Do you also have a website what guests users can and cannot do in JIRA?
