Atlassian Analytics - Team DevOps Effectiveness Scorecard Template

Hello 

I have a query on how the Atlassian Analytics Devops Effectiveness Scorecard template show these metrics 

1. Commit To PR Open 

2. PR to Review Time 

3. PR Review to Deploy 

4. Deployment Time 

We are planning to integrate Jira production to GitHub environment using the GitHub by Atlassian plugin. Is that integration enough for gathering data for above metrics or are there any other pre-requisites/configurations to be done on GitHub/Jira for this data to show on Atlassian Analytics?

Unfortunately, we are unable to test this in lower environments as AA is not enabled in our Sandbox.

The GitHub by Atlassian plugin is a great starting point for gathering data for the mentioned metrics, but additional steps may be required to ensure proper data flow into Atlassian Analytics:

• Link GitHub repositories to the relevant Jira projects.
• Verify that commits, pull requests, and deployments are syncing correctly.
• Ensure GitHub app permissions allow access to development data.
• Enable the "Development Information" in Jira.

If these configurations are in place, the integration should work as expected. Here's a nice tutorial that might help.

The metrics provided in the Atlassian Analytics DevOps Effectiveness Scorecard, such as "Commit to PR Open" and "PR Review to Deploy," typically require data integration from tools like GitHub.

While the GitHub by Atlassian plugin allows some of this data to sync with Jira, additional configurations might be required to ensure all metrics populate correctly. These could include setting up automation rules or webhooks between GitHub and Jira.

Could you please elaborate on the automation rules you are referring to? Any specific automation that needs to be setup? The webhooks are automatically in place with the installation of GitHub by Atlassian plugin
