Assigning a workflow to a new sub-task

Ross Maher June 20, 2022

I have created a workflow called 'Onboarding' and have created new issue types and associated those issue types with the Onboarding workflow. I am now trying to do the same thing for sub-tasks.

I have created the issue type 'Onboarding Sub-Task' and am now trying to associate the Onboarding workflow with that sub-task, but just cannot work out how to do it.

I have been trying to follow this documentation with no luck: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver073/configuring-workflow-schemes-861253569.html

I am using a company-managed board.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Ross,

can you please give more details about what are the anomaly/error that is showing when you try to associate a workflow with a sub-task?

You should be able to do this in the same way you have associated the "onboarding" workflow with the new issuetype, like you see in this screenshot.

Hope it helps.

Best,
Alberto
