Assign to Acknowledger

I'm trying to get issues to assign to the user who acknowledges them.

Did the usual google, atlassian answers and stack network searches but no luck.

Skimmed over the documentation for workflow properties and custom events but those didn't look quite right.

Is this possible or do I have to man up and click twice?

Use the 'Assign to Current User' post function on the workflow transition.
