Assign issue to green hopper sprint

Hi

I whould like to know if there any way when i open issue to Assign it to sprint on green hopper.

Adding some custome drop down list field with all of the sprints name.

Hi Renjith, as I have understood Ron's question, your answer is correct. I have further addition in that one. if we have parallel sprints then the rapid board of JIRA 5.0.6 does not allow that..

May be, though not sure, JIRA 5.1 facilitates the concept of Parallel sprints which means for a single product backlog. I can be segregating the items into 2 sprints and executing the sprints at the same time parallely.

Ron, can you explain it a bit more. Not sure what you mean by 'open issue to assign it'.

If you mean, you want to edit an issue in JIRA and then change the Sprint associated with that issue from JIRA, then you can do it by adding the Sprint custom field to your screen associated with the Edit operation for your issue type. You need to find the sprint number (integer value) by looking at the URL links from the boards though.

Doing this is highly discouraged and please always do this from the Board within Greenhopper itself.
