I understand there is a 'Scrum' template vs. say, a 'Kanban' template. But I wondered if there was any specific software development template that might include bug tracking, etc. Or is that just Jira 101 and you create those as issues, etc. I'm just looking for any wisdom on running a software development project in Jira that may be new or different as I haven't used it in a while. Thanks.
John Funk, thanks for informing. Templated it's always a great option to make something that has been working for hundreds and thousands of users before you've started it. Developing process is not so easy, as someone think about it. By the way, this Miquido site opened my eyes on some software features and now I think to order some technical features from their price list.
Hi Jim,
I am pretty sure that when you create a Classic Software project that it creates a Bug screen with it. Maybe even a Bug workflow. I haven't created a project from scratch in a while.
I will say that we have different workflows for Bugs, Defects and Software Engineering issue types in our workflow scheme.

Ok. Let me look at the workflow scheme. That sounds promising. If you wouldn't mind leaving this open for a bit, I'll either come back and mark as answer or maybe ping you for a little more.

I see the 'Bugs' one, not so much 'Defects' and 'Software Engineering.' The Workflow and Workflow Schemes choices don't really expand on these.
