I have been having problems where after I mark a Jira in-app notification as read a couple of hours later the same notification shows up as unread again. Does anyone know if the read/unread status of notifications is stored in a browser cookie?
I suspect the answer is yes because I have been having other weird browser behavior with our self-managed Gitlab that seems to be caused by Gitlab "forgetting" that I am logged in.
If the Jira in-app notifications are stored in a cookie then I can let my Service Desk team know and it corroborates that the problem I'm having with Gitlab is likely due to a cookie problem.
