Archiving a Jira Project - Question on Retention Period

Hi All - I have a question on archiving a Jira Project in Jira Cloud.   I know it can be restored but my question is around retention period.  Are archived projects kept forever?  So, can be restored at any time?

Thanks!

Hi @bmccarthy,

Yes, archiving is essentially somewhat like hiding a project so it doesn't interfere with your "active" projects. They stay in that archived state until you either decide to restore them or actively delete them yourself.

Hope this helps!
