Approver can't see approve decline buttons upon opening the request

I have set up my automation for the approvers to receive an email when the request is due for approval.  When the user opens the request from the email, they don't see the Approve or Decline button. What am I missing?

Hi Ephraim - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

I don't know that the Approval process is built in for projects other than JSM type projects. So you would have to probably add another status or two with transitions for "Approve" or "Decline" as a "button". But it won't be the built-in buttons if it is not a JSM project.

It might be that they don't have the right permissions to do so. Double check your permissions for your users and see if that's what's wrong.
