Hi,

Newbie here.

I get a large volume of stories s  auto-created and assigned to me  in my squad backlog from other squads . Unfortunately these are not linked to a PARENT feature mainly because the PARENT feature is applicable to my  squad only plus  it changes frequently. I need these stories to be assigned to a PARENT FEATURE by end of day as this is mandatory for our squad governance and really do not want to do this manually for 50 issues everyday

Is there a job /script I can use which essentially  trawls through my JIRA backlog end of the day and retrospectively bulk associates these issues with a PARENT FEATURE?

thanks in advance

Hello @Mazarello_R_Rochelle_QMG R

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

A task like that could be handled by an Automation Rule.

https://support.atlassian.com/cloud-automation/docs/jira-cloud-automation/

Unfortunately the ability to create Automation Rules is usually restricted to Jira Administrators and possibly Project Administrators.

If you don't have either level of access, you would need to work with somebody who does to get the rule set up.

Otherwise your option would be to create a custom script leveraging the Jira REST API.
