Application link between Jira Cloud (sandbox) and Bitbucket Server

Hello all,
I'm testing our migration in our Sandbox cloud site. We still have Bitbucket 'on-premise' and I understand, I simply need to allow Atlassian IP ranges and then create the Application Link in Jira Cloud.
However. I'm slightly concerned about creating the Application Link in our Jira Cloud Sandbox site to our Production Bitbucket site. Will having multiple Application Links in Bitbucket (one to sandbox and one to prod) be a concern? I'm somehow worried it might break the link (or data) between our current production Jira/Bitbucket 'on-premise'?
Or do I even need to bother testing? Does it 100% work?
