App invitations

Hi, I keep getting people asking for access to our JIRA and Confluence instances through Atlassian however, I have it set up so no one should be able to request permission that way. At least I think I do. Please see attached. We need everyone to open a help desk ticket with our internal HD to request access yet I keep getting requests through Atlassian.Screenshot 2026-05-07 at 9.56.43 AM.pngScreenshot 2026-05-07 at 9.59.12 AM.png

Hello @Audra Bonacki

It is also worth checking the App access settings section under the Apps menu at admin.atlassian.com. Take a look at your Approved domains configuration; if "Any domain" or a specific domain is set to allow users to request access, anyone who lands on a restricted Jira or Confluence link will still trigger Atlassian "request access" prompt.

To see what's actually happening behind the scenes, you can navigate to Apps>User requests>Access requests. This area will clarify whether these are genuine, manual access requests or just invitations being generated because of your domain settings. Often, a link that looks like a permission issue is actually just a byproduct of how these domain-level request settings are tuned.
