Hi, one of our customers are using Jira Data Center edition, version 8.20.

We would like to integrate their jira with our service. We use basic auth as the authentication scheme. (email:apitoken), this works well for Jira Cloud and our other customers.

They have upgraded their jira to be able to create api tokens. However, the authorization still fails (401 unauthorized).

Is there a configuration or a detail we are missing in our approach?

Hi @Umut Yurdakök

Authentication in JIRA is based on username:pass/token can you confirm that the email address is the username?

Secondly, can they confirm that the token is still live and not expired and the token provided is for the correct JIRA user?

Please do let me know.
