Hello and welcome @Gab

Yes, messages like that can be legitimate, but what is your main question here?

Are you trying to confirm:

  • whether the email is genuine?
  • why you received it even though you are already on Premium?
  • what happens to the site after the trial expires?
  • or whether / how the trial can be extended?

If you can clarify that part, it will be easier to give you here from me and others a precise answer.

Hi @Arkadiusz Wroblewski Thanks for your reply. Yes. I'm wondering why I am receiving this even though we are already on Premium for a long time?

@Gab

Please check:

  • admin.atlassian.com/billing
  • all available billing accounts
  • all Jira subscriptions under them

If none of them is in trial or recently expired, then treat this as an email that is likely tied to a different subscription record and ask Atlassian billing Team to confirm which exact site/subscription the message refers to if even. They should be able to check that fast.

I also get that email, in this case about Jira. It is definitely active, so it looks like somebody at Atlassian is messing with the notifications which don't really make sense as nothing changed subscription wise.

@Gab

I have a theory. Yesterday, Jira Service Collection was rolled out to many instances, especially those that had not opted into Early Access. As far as I know, there were also some billing-side changes around that, so I would not rule out the possibility that those messages were triggered as a false alarm, or some kind Automatismus.

Got it! That actually makes a lot of sense, thank you for sharing that theory.

In our case, we’ve been on Premium for quite a while and nothing changed subscription‑wise on our side, so the “Your Jira Premium trial has expired” message was confusing. Seeing that Jira Service Collection was just rolled out and may have involved some billing‑side changes lines up well with the timing of the email we received.

For now I’ll treat it as a likely false alarm tied to those changes, but I’ll still double‑check our admin billing console to confirm all products are showing as active and not in any trial state, just to be safe. If anything looks off, I’ll raise it with Atlassian billing support so they can verify which subscription the message is actually referring to.
