I'm afraid you'll need to debug that in a bit more detail.  Do you have any custom javascript in your system?  Have you any addons that affect the front end (behaviours in scriptrunner for example)?  Does it only happen on one issue, or several?  Is it just that user, or does everyone get the error when they try that issue?
