Allow Consultant Access to a Specific Issue Only

We have a project with many issues. How can I allow a consultant access to only one of the issues in the project? I don't want them to even know that other issues exist in the project.

Answer accepted

Create a user or multi user custom field and associate it with the project. Give browse permission for the custom field in the permission scheme.

You can then add user(s) into the field on specific issues and they will see only issues where they are added.

I actually already had them as the assignee. I just needed to add "Current Assignee" to the "Browse Projects" permission. Thanks.
