When we create a new ticket, resolution field is marked as "fixed"
This shows the ticket as crossed out in our lanes. How can we resolve this? I've looked all over and tried to search in the settings but can't seem to locate.
My guess is that an inexperienced admin put the resolution field on the issue create screen. That would mean your people are inadvertetly selecting a value for it, which means the issue is resolved and hence struck-out
You should remove the field from the screen
This cross sign appears once you put resolution to an issue.
If you don't want the resolution marked as fixed then please visit your workflow and check for post function. It looks there is a post function which auto set the resolution.
If you only want to remove that cross sign , that's not possible, its the identification that issue is resolved.
If you want to clear resolution for existing issues, then add temporary self transition to the status and in post function put the field update resolution=non/clear
Perform the bulk operation to this transition and it will clear all the resolution on all issues which you selected. Now remove the temporary transition.

I suspect someone has wrongly set the Resolution field to be mandatory. First check and see if when creating an issue the Resolution is required. If so remove this requirement.

Thanks Jack... question is where can I find that? I've been looking through settings... It doesn't look mandatory but pre-populated as "fixed" and no way to clear that

Hi JP,
Look at the post-functions on the create transition of the workflow(s) in that project. It could also be a field on one of the screens also. Cheers!
