Hi guys,
i had several global automations running for multiple projects.
From one day to another, all automations in all projects don't work anymore.
This was 1-2 Weeks ago.
When looking in the usage logfiles, I normally always get a log which tells me what went wrong and I can fix it.
Unfortunatly, this time, no log was created!
I tried different automations in different projects... all don't work.
The only clue I have, is when I do a manual action for a automation. Then I get a small popup message, which tells me something like: "The automation "{0}" has an error". But it does not tell me what the error is or what the "{0}" actually means. :(
I hope you know about this issue and also how to solve this. thank you very much for your answeres.
Hi Michael,
Can you please post some screenshots?
There is not much i can share, only the pop up. The automation-use-log is empty

Can you share the actual rule? Showing the rule details page.

Since every automation on every project is not working, I am not sure if you will see something. But I will make screenshots for you for the trigger, since the trigger doesn't seem to work. Otherwise I probably would of seen some kind of usage log file.
Here are the images of two different triggers:

Thanks for sharing those. Does the error happen when you try to do the manual execution? Or just when you open the rule?

Let me get someone from Atlassian to come take a look.

Hi @John Funk
all automations are not working... for example, I also have an simple automation, which assigns the issue to the creater, if the assignee has not been set manually.
Such automation are broken as well.... and are untouched since creation.
Therefore, automations which are without a trigger are effected as well.

SOLVED: I just had to turn off the automations, wait 3 sec, and turn them back on... AFter that, all automations worked again!

Well, that's not normal! Glad you found a solution for it though. And thanks for sharing here.

Hi @Michael simon - just one idea: Which subscription plan of Jira Cloud are you using? Per type of plan, there are different automation limits. Especially those for free or standard plans could be something you're hitting maybe:
Free: 100 automations per site per month
Standard: 1,700 automations per site per month
The error message should be more clearer but that is something I could imagine happening.
Besides that: Have you tried to work with the Atlassian Support team already? (https://support.atlassian.com/contact/)

Hi, I checked the automation limits... thats not the issue. There are plenty left.
Since I have the free plan, atlassian said, that I should ask for support here, inside of the community. They don't offer custom support for free plans.
