When the colleagues joined the company, the email address xxx and the Jira account were created with the same email. With the Jira account, the team assigned the Projects and all the work that he needed to start. Later on, we realised the email had been created incorrectly, and the correct email address was xxxxx.
On Google, we have the alias enabled, so if any email is sent to xxxx, he should get an email at xxxxx
However, he is not getting any emails from Jira. We assume there is a blocking point in Jira that is preventing the emails from being sent. Can you please unlock our email or change the email to the correct one that is xxxx
We cannot delete the account and create a new one, as that will lose all the history.

Please edit your post to remove those email addresses for privacy.
Definitely don't delete the account, that will wipe out all their Jira history and ticket assignments.
Update the email on their existing profile via admin.atlassian.com (if managed) or id.atlassian.com (if unmanaged). A Google alias won't work long-term because Jira sends notifications strictly to the listed profile email.
