Aggregation Gadget loss - how can I sum up hours spent on tasks per month?

We used to have access to an "Aggregation" gadget but it seems a recent update has removed that gadget.  

What I want to do is display a sum of hours spent by month on a specific set of stories.  

Anyone have a way to do that without that gadget?

Jira does not natively provide any reports or gadgets that will achieve that.

You should ask your Jira Administrators about the removal of the gadget. It probably came from a third party app that was added to your system. Perhaps the license for that app has expired, or the Jira Administrators had another reason to disable or remove the app.
