I have a next-gen (team) project that started with Sprints. After the project kicked off we turn off sprints to go back to just Kanban. We have now gone back to sprints.
However, when I close a sprint, issues from that moment of Kanban do not clear the board. They've persisted into "Done" for two sprints now.
I tried inspecting the issues via the API versus ones hidden when closing a sprint. I cannot tell the difference. I just want to get these things off the board so it's more easy to view.
When you changed from Kanban back to Sprints, did all the issue marked as Done during the Kanban phase get displayed again?
Are they displayed in the board view (which should be showing only the issues in Active sprints) or are displayed in the Backlog view, or both?
Do the issues contain sub-tasks that are not complete?
Do the issues have a value in their Sprint field?
They are displayed in the board view for the active sprint. They were "Done" but still carried over, and not treated as done.
They appear in the Backlog view of the sprint, all as resolved.
No subtasks.
The sprint field had the completed sprints and current.
I went through and removed the current sprint, so they would be removed. I'm waiting for the next sprint to close to see what happens. ie: Do they reappear? Do currently closed items from the sprint stop appearing?

Do they display in the right most column of the board?
Do they have a value in the Resolution field?

They display in the appropriate "Done" column (I have a Done and Won't Do)
When reviewing the issues over the API, the resolution field is set. Since it's next-gen, I had to use the API to inspect.
