Just recently, when moving a task from peer review to done, my screen scrolls all the way down to the bottom of the ticket list. This is an issue because my organization has hundreds of completed tickets. This means that when I'm completing multiple tickets, I have to scroll back up through hundreds of tickets to get to the next active ticket. This only recently started happening. I'm not sure if Atlassian changed something or if it's an option that I can change in my account.

Could you be more precise about what screen you are referring to in your question?
Reading between the lines, my best guess is you are referring to a board where you move a card into the done column. As the issue you just move to the Done column, it gets focus and you indeed land way done on the screen.
If you are in a team managed project and your board is a kanban board, you can simply remove done issues from that column. Click on the 3 dots next to the column title and clean the column:
This will free up your board column. Rest assured, you can still find your issues in Jira by searching for them, they'll just be hidden from the board view.
In a kanban board in a company managed project, issues in de rightmost column of your board are hidden by default once they are sitting there for 2 weeks. That time span can even be configured in Board Settings > General.
If you are using a scrum board, clearing the board is done automatically when you complete the running sprint.

Thanks for the quick response, Walter. I understand that the focus is on the item that was moved into the done column. I just don't understand why it just started doing it within the last two weeks. I don't see the option to clear the done list. Are admin privileges needed to do this? Here is a screenshot of the columns without the 3 dots beside them.
