Advice on the best way of managing bugs and defects between multiple jira projects

I'm looking for some advice on the best way to manage bugs and defects between multiple jira projects but without moving the bugs and defects around, i'll explain.....

As a team we'd like to be able to raise bugs and defects on our board that we can then collate metrics on, be able view and track them.  However it will be often that the people that need to fix these bugs/defects will reside in a different team and have their own project within Jira.  I know we could move the defect to their board but then we will loose the visibility of the bug/defect and potentially 'loose' them from our metrics and overview.  

Can anyone suggest a best practice way of managing this without, i'm guessing we'll have to clone the bug/defect to other teams and manage it that way but was hoping someone out there will have experience of managing a similar situation.

You don't have to move.

• You can let people work on those bug directly in other projects? Just reassign it to them. There is history of all the changes for traceability.
• If bugs cannot be assigned to developers outside the project for some reason then create a linked bug/issue in other projects.
• Use automation to update the linked/original bug with a comment copied from the project where bug is resolved.

For reporting you do combination of the following.

• Create common board for those bugs from multiple projects.
• Create common dashboard to monitor those bugs.
• Try some other reporting apps like eazyBI for consolidated reports of bugs from various projects.

This is really useful thank you, We can't assign the bugs to developers outside the project so I'll look more into the linked bug/issue which is where my thinking had been going.

I've only just started looking at possible automations and didn't realise I could copy comments between issues, I'll go and look more into this thank you.
