Advanced roadmaps including issues marked as done in capacity?

My teams plan their sprints in advanced roadmaps, updating their capacity, then adding issues into the sprint. Right now, we filter for no sprint, active sprint, and future sprints. I was testing out some new views and decided to add in completed sprints.
This drastically increased the capacity of our future sprint, adding in already completed issues. Can anyone explain why completed issues were added into the capacity when I applied the filter? I am really confused by why it would do this?
Other details:
- The capacity was already full.
- The completed issues were not assigned to the future sprint.
