Hi

I have read many posts but i dont get one answer. Is it possible in Jira Cloud that Parent Link for tasks is required for creating new issue?

I like to set that when user create task, then she/he have to link it with epic and when create new epic, then it have to be linked with initiative.

I have one main project where is all Initiative tasks and under there is also all epics but tasks are made in another projects like design, coding etc. Is it possible to set up that when user create x project then he/she allways have to link it with parent and parent is not in same project. Is it somehow possible or not?

Hi Urmo,

You might try adding a Validator to the Create transition in the Workflow for Field Required and select Epic Link.

However, I am not sure how you will be able to force the user to link the Epic to an Initiative. It might be that an add-on such as JMWE could help with that.
