Advance Filter Question

Team, I am new to Jira and need help with this filter. 

I want to create a filter that will return me all issues in a project that are assigned to different Epics via Epic Link and the Epic status is In-Progress. 

An other way to explain would be this:

Select all Issues where Issue is assign to an Epic and Epic status is "in progress"

I looked up advance filter section in help section and see a cascadeoption() function but not sure if this can do what I am trying to do or hoe to execute this. 

Any pointers will be appreciated.

It's impossible using standard JQL, but you can use additional plugins.
