Adding completed work items to a closed sprint

Hi All, is there a way to add completed work items to a closed sprint?

The short answer is no, once a sprint is completed/closed you cannot add new work items to it. Question, why would you want to add work items to a closed sprint?

I have found items in the backlog that have been completed during the time of the previous sprint but the Assignee did not add it to the sprint. Is it necessary to add all work items to sprints?

No, it is not necessary to add all work to sprints, but you would then miss those as being part of your sprint planning and estimation. The only way to add work items to a completed/closed sprint would be to reopen the sprint and then add the work items.

But that is a workaround and you should instead address the issue with completing work items that are not part of the sprint if you want to get a good reporting on what was done during a sprint. I would emphasize to users that they should only work on items in the sprint and if they need to add additional work it should be done in the open sprint.
