Hello,
I am an site_admin.
I have two teams. One is called "TTI_C" and the other is simply called "TTI".
I would like to have "TTI_C" added as a sub-team to "TTI".
I tried to do so by going into the Team section but i do not see the usual "hierarchy" button allowing me to handle teams.
Another colleague who is an admin of this specific space still has the button but he can't finalise the process. He receives a message telling him than he has no internet connexion...
Thank you for your help.
Hi Baptistan,
From what you’re describing, this may be related to the permissions or admin role assigned to your account rather than an internet connection issue.
If the hierarchy option is missing for you, I’d first check whether you have the required team administration permissions for both TTI and TTI_C. The fact that another admin can see the option but cannot complete the process could also indicate a permissions or Atlassian-side issue.
I’d suggest checking the team settings/permissions for both teams and then trying again. If the other admin continues to get the “no internet connection” message, it may be worth checking whether the issue occurs in another browser or an incognito session as well.
If the permissions look correct and the problem persists, raising a ticket with Atlassian Support with screenshots of the missing hierarchy option and the error message would probably be the next step.
Hi @Baptistan HIOT
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Being a Jira site admin doesn't necessarily permit you to manage the hierarchy of every Atlassian team.
Team hierarchy is managed from the team profile, and the ability to add a parent team depends on the team's management settings and permissions. I would first check whether you are an admin of both TTI and TTI_C, not only an admin of the Jira space.
I would also test this in another browser/incognito mode. If it still fails, that sounds more like an Atlassian-side issue than a Jira space permission issue.
If neither team admin can complete the change, I would raise it with Atlassian Support and provide the two team URLs and a screenshot of the error.
