Revised Question:

In the jira addon descriptor. from the documentation I see that I need to add a websection and connect webitems to that websection, but I can't seem to do it. I've seen the xml version, but the json version doesn't have the section attribute.

I'm trying to create a menu item like dashboards in my json file, but can't figure out how to do it. Can someone help me please?

I hope that will help. However as I see you are using OnDemand so it will be hard to implement this on your instance.
