Add email notification on certain date (not: due date) for JIRA TASK

I am looking for any option to add email notification for the JIRA task. I should allow: 

• notify only the Assignee (I know his/her email)
• notify on other date the due date 

Simply, I need some kind of reminder. 

Please advise me if there is uch a feature or if I can substitute it with similar existing functionality.

Nothing out of the box. There might be a plugin for it, try searching a marketplace.

Alternatively, you can utilize JIRA Subscription to send email notifications to a group or just a personal subscription. Define a JQL something like "Project = ABC And date >= startOfDay(-7)", you get the idea.
