Add / append components in Ticket with Automation

Hi Team,

I would am trying to add components to ticket via automation if certain conditions are met.

On Jira Prem I was using "copy from issue", unfortunately it is not available in jira cloud.

Surprisingly,  "copy from issue" is available for labels but not for components.

Does anyone know workaround to add components?

Thanks

Hi @Tejas Patil

Could you please share the screenshot of your automation rule? We can Copy components from the Current Issue, Trigger Issue, Parent Issue, Epic, and Destination Issue.

I am using this to update components based on the selections in the form.

@Tejas Patil you can see the option at the right side to copy it.17280295353773790860645946797116.jpg

Yes, that option is there but if I use that option then I can not add more components based on the selection in the form.

With Label, I get an option to copy from issue and add additional labels, I dont get same option for components. I hope this explains the issue more clearer.

You can use {{issue.components.name}} and then select new components as well.
