Hello, if anyone can help

We have a change board set up, and in each change there is a planned end date which is a date time field.

What we would like to do is sent an automated alert to the reporter to remind them an hour after the planned end time, that they need to update the ticket,

Is this possible? If so can anyone help. It will be on a schedule that runs every hour.

Hello @Mihir Ruparelia

Yes, this is possible.

You can use the Automation for Jira feature to create a rule that runs on a Schedule, selects issues that meet your criteria, and sends an email to the Reporter.

Some things to consider

  1. What if the reporter already updated the item? Is there a window of time preceding this that an update from the reporter should cancel the need for the reminder?
  2. Do you want to send the alert exactly one hour after the planned end time?
  3. Do you want to send only one alert, or do you want to keep sending alerts to the reporter until and acceptable update is made?
