Add Permission Schemes to group

SoerenG August 13, 2015

I have som permission schemes, and I need to add them to a group.

In my group, it says:

Permission Schemes
  • There are no Permission Schemes associated with this Group.

Logically, it would be possible to simply add a scheme to this group, but I have found JIRA to be anything but logical.

Please tell me how to do this.

You've misunderstood the relationship - you don't add permission schemes to groups, you associate them with projects.  Then you add groups to the permissions.  (Although I'd recommend using roles instead - far more flexible)

I agree with Nic about using Roles. That allows the project lead/admins to control who has permission in the project rather than having to have the JIRA admin add/delete users from groups.
