Our administrator of JIRA is ill and will not return for a few months. We need to add other users to JIRA but only an admin can do that. How can somebody help me to give me administrator rights and do that kind of things?

Solved it by sending my sick employee messages to add me as an administrator and at the end he did

Is your Jira admin also an Org admin? Jira product admin role is different from org admin?

To add new users to a product (Jira/Confluence), you will need org admin access.

Hope this helps.
